This is a lovely anniversary gift from the 1998 Bordeaux Vintage celebrating 18 years in 2016.

1998 Chateau Cassagne Haut-Canon, Canon Fronsac:
Fronsac is an appellation for red wines produced in an area in the east of the Bordeaux wine region. It is located close to the northern bank of the Dordogne river, just a few miles to the west of Libourne – the town that gives its name to the Libournais region. Libourne is home to prestigious appellations such as Saint-Emilion and Pomerol, as well as Fronsac itself.

Chateau Tour St Bonnet, 1998
Medoc Cru Bourgeois:
This is a reliable cru bourgeois estate consistently producing some of the most reliable wines in its class. The 1998 is a dark purple-coloured wine with powerful, ripe, earthy, blackcurrant aromas. Dense, with fine sweetness on the attack, a high tannin level, medium body, and good purity. It will continue to provide delicious drinking for a few more years.
