1967 was an exceptional Vintage for the Piedmont region and this 50 year old wine gift set will offer a good drinking experience. It comprises of two of Italy's most famous Piedmont wines, a Barolo and a Barbaresco, celebrating 50 years in 2017.

1967 Barolo Minuto Riserva:
Barolo is a traditional hillside village in the rolling hills of Piedmont, northwestern Italy. The vineyards and cantine (wineries) there have long been famous for producing some of Italy's very finest red wines – predominantly from the region's signature grape variety, Nebbiolo. All these wines share key qualities which define the classic Barolo style; the famous "tar and roses" aroma, a bright ruby color (which fades to garnet over time), firm tannins, elevated acidity, and relatively high alcohol.

1967 Barbaresco Minuto Riserva:
The 1967 Minuto displays wonderful aromas - amazing for a 50 year old wine! Nicely mature red cherry, licorice and dried rose petals with various other spice hints. Similar flavors, slightly less intense on the palate. This wine is ready for drinking now and will not improve with further cellaring.
