Description
Light yellow. Expressive, fruity nose primarily recalling ripe apple with a faint tangy touch. Lovely personality, freshness, character and fairly persistent, focused aromas on the palate. A very successful, party-style Champagne.
This Champagne rested on its lees for more than two and a half years in the dark cellars, and then matured for a further three months after disgorgement.
This fine Champagne is a careful blend of 45% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 25% Pinot Meunier. What do each grape variety contribute to the blend? Pinot Noir gives the wine its structure, richness and a long finish. The Chardonnay, from the finest soils of the Côte des Blancs, adds delicacy, liveliness and freshness, whilst the Pinot Meunier, mainly from the Marne Valley, gives the wine an appealing fruitiness and roundness.
