the 2003 Barolo Tenuta L'illuminata displays a medium garnet robe extending out to clearing edges with an intense nose featuring blue fruits, violet, rose petal, leather and some toasted oak. Excellent intensity and concentration with a medium to full body and a long finish supported by still-excellent acidity. Rich, complex, completely mature, typical of the terroir, and an amazing bargain!
