Description
The 2014 La Spinetta Barolo red wine is from younger vines than the Campè Barolo itself, instead coming from the Campè vineyard in Grinzane (which are nevertheless 30 years old). Aged in large 600L barrels of 50% new and 50% one year old, medium toasted French oak barrels for 20 months. Aromas of blackberry and subtle mint, the palate shows minerality, with lingering hints of spice and red cherries, fine tannins and considerable elegance.
