Double Magnum 3.0Ltr
"A deep brick rim with a garnet core. The nose is quite intense, with no vestiges of fruit, instead green bell pepper, cigar box and a touch of musk. It is not particularly unattractive but it might pall after a couple of glasses. The palate is similar to the 1984 Leoville-Poyferre in that it is rather one-dimensional, but less austere and less coarse, auto-cruises upon entry but has surprising weight and persistency towards the finish with touches of dried blood and iron rust. Not a great wine, but a very decent ’87 and commendable for the vintage." Neil Martin Wine Journal Tasted 2008.
