Description

A surprisingly honest and terroir-driven right bank Bordeaux for an great price. Dark garnet and a little cloudy, suggesting no filtration. Plum, mocha, and earth on the nose. Ripe, round, and fairly intense fruit - with black cherry, blackberry, mocha, and licorice. Good length. Tangy acidity. Supple tannins. Really nice, balanced wine proving once again that in 2005 good wine was made by almost everyone in Bordeaux. 70% Merlot, 25% Cab Franc, 5% Malbec
