From the very good 1998 vintage this wine from the Fronsac region of Bordeaux has a simple rustic charm. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot this wine has black fruits, plums and a little spice on the nose. On the palate this is a lighter style of wines with some earthy tannins. A medium finish. A charming wine that would go well with read meats or heavy pasta.
