Description

The 12 hectare Canon Fronsac vineyard of Chateau Vrai Canon Bouche is planted to 83% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec. The terroir is clay and limestone soils on the top of the Canon Fronsac plateau. the vineyard is placed on top of a massive, limestone quarry. The average age of the vines at Vrai Canon Bouche is close to 25 years. The vineyard is planted to a vie density of 6,000 vines per hectare. Vrai Canon Bouche is farmed using sustainable viticulture, as one would expect in a property consulted by Stephane Derenoncourt. A lot of effort goes into the vineyard management for Vrai Canon Bouche. The soils are worked mechanically; deleafing and crop thinning are carried out as necessary. The grapes are always harvested by hand.

this rich, opulent, sweet, round wine delivers a boat load of licorice, plums, black cherries, espresso and spicy scents. This is already offering a lot of pleasure. For consumers thinking all Bordeaux is expensive, this is a good Bordeaux wine that will do well in blind tastings against much more expensive wines.
