Description
Ports coming from the south facing Touriga Franca vineyards, which in 2012 achieved perfect ripeness. There are also hints of blackberry, blackcurrant and black plum on the nose. Notes of Esteva (rock-rose) are also present, the result of the Touriga Nacional, which often expresses these scents. This is a vibrant wine, already quite complex and subtle. There is some spice from the relatively high proportion of Sousão. This is balanced with fresh acidity and minerality. On the palate the hallmark Dow’s drier style shows through in the long finish and ripe but firm tannins.
