Fonseca Vintage Port, 1996
Guimaraens Single Quinta Port
Description: Class on the nose, with charred, toasty aromas lying at ease with plenty of molasses and black fruit. The palate is big and round, well structured with correct tannins and acidity, a sweet edge to the fruit and an almost creamy texture.

Fonseca Vintage Port, 1994
Vintage Port
Description: *** 97 Points - Parker *** reviews: "One of the most spectacular 1994s, this opaque purple-colored wine is an exotic, flamboyant, ostentatious port. Extremely fragrant and pungent, with a flashy display of jammy cassis, pepper, licorice, and truffles, this port is an attention-grabber. Awesomely rich, and full-bodied, with superb length, richness, and overall balance, it possesses a huge mid-palate, layers of flavor, an unctuous texture, and a blockbuster finish. Everything is in place, with the brandy and tannin well-integrated, even concealed by the masses of fruit and glycerin. This wine will drink fabulously well at age ten, but keep for up to thirty years". Drink now to 2035+

Fonseca Vintage Port, 1992
Vinatge Port
Description: Scoring 97 Parker Points a magnificent Port Reviews "Fonseca has scored in both the 1991 and 1992 vintages. The 1992 is a majestic young port that should ultimately rival, perhaps even surpass this house's most recent great efforts (1985, 1977, 1970, 1963). This colossal vintage port reveals a nearly opaque black/purple color, and an explosive nose of jammy black fruits, licorice, chocolate, and spices. Extremely full-bodied and unctuously-textured, this multi-layered, enormously-endowed port reveals a finish that lasts for over a minute. It is a magnificent port that will age well for 30-40 years." Robert Parker, Wine Advocate 1995.

Fonseca Vintage Port, 1985
Vintage Port
Description: This has a lovely nose of maturing port, finely styled and just screaming quality. The palate carries a svelte texture, with a creamy, flattering character. There is purity, balance, a clean, bright quality and despite this lots of appealing grip. This has great impact, and yet is so welcoming and alluring. Excellent wine, and a great example of the vintage. (November 2006). Dense ruby/purple with the Oriental spice-box aroma, the 1985 is an expansive, sweet, broadly flavored wine with outstanding depth, concentration, and balance. It finishes with a solid lashing of alcohol and tannin. Parker, Buying Guide 1989 Parker rating 90/100 (outstanding)

Fonseca Vintage Port, 1984
Guimaraens Vintage Port
Description: Fonseca is one of the great port lodges, producing the most exotic and most complex port. It excels in its magnificently complex, intense bouquet of plummy, cedary, spicy fruit and long, broad, expansive flavors. With its lush, seductive character, one might call it the Pomerol of Vintage ports. The 1984 is magnificently scented, full-bodied, creamy, rather forward, but showing great length and character.

Fonseca Vintage Port, 1983
Vintage Port
Description: Allow 5 working days for delivery of this product. An outstanding Port rating 92/100 from an outstanding vintage. Robert Parker writes of this port... "Fonseca is one of the great port lodges, producing the most exotic and most complex port. If Fonseca lacks the sheer weight and power of a Taylor, Dow or Warre, or the opulent sweetness and intensity of a Graham, it excels in its magnificently complex, intense bouquet of plummy, cedary, spicy fruit and long, broad, expansive flavors. With its lush, seductive character, one might call it the Pomerol of Vintage ports. When it is young, it often loses out in blind tastings to the heavier, weightier, more tannic wines, but I always find myself upgrading my opinion of Fonseca after it has had 7-10 years of age. The 1983 is magnificently scented, full-bodied, creamy, rather forward, but showing great length and character. Parker Rating 92/100 (Outstanding) Drink from now to 2030

Fonseca Vintage Port, 1977
Vintage Port
Description: Faint notes of prunes and fig in the nose. The palate is just wonderful: layers of raisiny black fruits, massive tannins and a vice-like grip. Still very backward with a lovely sweet raspberry, prune and raisin finish. Neil Martin, Wine Journal Rating 93-94 (Outstanding)

Fonseca Vintage Port, 1975
Vintage Port
Description: This Port is now beginning to reach its full maturity and is ready for drinking. As it ages further, it will begin to develop gently into a more tawny style Port. This Port should probably be drunk over the next few years although it is still showing remarkable balance and finesse. Drink from now until 2012

Fonseca Vintage Port, 1970
Vintage Port (UK Harrods)
Description: An outstanding port from a classic vintage. The Fonseca 1970 is now fully mature, and is probably one of the finest glasses of port that you will ever taste. A wine of this quality will age superbly for many decades to come. A magnificent wine with abundant ripe fruit flavours and concentrated tannins. Perfect harmony and balance places this Port amongst the all-time greats. Robert Parker, renowned critic writes of this Port.... "... it excels in its magnificently complex, intense bouquet of plummy, cedary, spicy fruit and long, broad, expansive flavours. With its lush, seductive character, one might call it the Pomerol of Vintage ports. The 1970, of course, is a powerful Fonseca with an exotic bouquet and lush, creamy, multidimensional flavours.” Parker Rating 93/100 (outstanding)
