Tasting Notes: The 1968 Port from Palmer has a light oak colour with a verdant edge on the rim highlighting a colheita of exceptional age and quality. Much elegance on the nose with orange peel, walnuts, figs and a touch of honey. On the palate there is a lightness that is balanced by a good acidity. This port wine delivers a beautiful flavour supported by a long, long finish. Outstanding.

This exceptional Don PX Selección 1968 from Toro Albala is an enveloping and complex wine, produced from the “asoleo” process of Pedro Ximénez grapes to obtain a great richness in sugars. After the press, it was left to rest for 12 months in stainless steel tanks. When the period came to an end, it was stored in American oak butts to age with time. An authentic gem awarded with 94 Robert Parker points.

Colheita Port, Douro

The Messias colheita port from the good 1968 vintage has been aged in a barrel until bottling in 2014.
The extended barrel aging has given this wine a complex fusion of dried fruit and cedar notes. On the palate the wine is smooth and full bodied with plenty of nuts and sweet fruit on the palate, finely balanced. A tremendous finish which goes on forever.
