This 2016 wine is from the famous Quinta do Noval, from the Estate's superb range of red table wines.

Quinta Do Noval's 2016 Petit Verdot wine shows intoxicating perfume of wild fruits such as balckberry and blueberry, mixed with notes of wood and blossom. On the palate it is dry with high acidity and firm but smooth tannins. It finishes off sweetly with a long aftertaste.

Petit Verdot is a great variety of strong individual personality and enormous quality potential. Best known for its presence in small proportion in the blends of the great wines of the Médoc. It needs sunshine and heat to ripen fully, and has adapted extremely well to the Douro to produce a varietal wine of exuberant character and individuality.
