A lovely Port with a young fruity character. Aromatic on the nose with fresh notes of red fruits. A very pleasant finish make this a great after dinner drink. This is a Ruby style of Port that has been aged fro 12 months before bottling. This preserves the fruit characteristics of the port. Sandeman’s Cask 33 is a single cask of Tawny Porto that is being launched to coincide with the celebration of Sandeman’s 225 years in 2015. The port includes wines of up to 70 years old that have been created by different generations of Sandeman master benders.

This release is a limited edition of only 685 bottles. The bottle design reproduces the style of those bottles originally used at the time of the founder in 1790 and are hand blown by one of Portugal’s last great artisanal bottle works.

Reviews:Going back and forth, the Taylor's 2009 has a lighter nose than the 2007 with precise dark cherry, Seville orange, fresh fig and a hint of scorched soil. The palate is full-bodied packed with ripe black cherries, fresh fig and white pepper; very harmonious and focused although I feel that the 2007 has a little more depth and persistency. Very pretty and very pure, this Taylor's may well put on weight with a couple of years in bottle and merit a higher mark. Tasted May 2011.
