This 2015 Vintage Port Wine from Niepoort, is a blend of several Cima Corgo vineyards & (old field blend) varieties including, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, Tinta Francisca, Tinta Amarela, Sousão and Touriga Nacional was 100% foot trodden in granite lagares with 100% stems. The wine was aged for 2 years in “toneis” and some pipes. A vibrant Port in colour and on the palate with lovely florality – violets – and black pepper lift to its well defined its sweet, ripe, juicy and intense swathes of berry and plum fruit. Quinta de La Rosa is a small estate in the heart of the Port wine-growing region in Alto Douro, near Pinhao, owned and operated by the Bergqvist family.

The Quinta and its vineyards were given to the Bergqvist family as a Christening present by the Feuerheerds, who established the property in 1906.

Devesa 10 Year White
The NV 10 Years White Port was bottled in 2020 with 114 grams of residual sugar and a bar-top cork. Not showing anywhere near as sweet as the residual sugar statistics would suggest, this does still seem very rich. It is not a style that is as bright and lively as some, but there is more intensity of flavor than most. It has bitter chocolate and caramel nuances, sometimes seeming more Tawny-like.
