The 1965 Barolo Cantine Prandi have come from the producer's cellars where they have laid undisturbed since bottling.

Cantine Prandi was established in the 1920s when grandfather Farinetti Majorino envisioned selling part of the wine produced for family use to the commercial market. In the 1960's his nephew Giovanni came to lend a hand and was instrumental in shaping the winery and its future development. Up to 2009, Giovanni's son Alessandro looked after the beautiful vineyards situated in the long hills surrounding Piemonte. Sauternes 1er Grand cru Classe

Yquem is indisputedly the best wine in Sauternes and may well be the finest sweet wine in the world.

A good wine. On the nose, bthere is some orange marmalade, honey and spice character in this wine. Turns quite woody, with lots of caramel.

YQUEM NOTES: It was very cold from April to September which dashed hopes for good ripeness. The deluge in late September (100 mm in 8 days) was very worrying, but things changed all of a sudden. The rain stopped and it was finally warm. There were two fine passes from the 3rd to the 12th of October and a third from the 16th to the 20th, however it was difficult to find grapes with high enough sugar levels. …

Margaux 3me Cru Classe

Stored in a private cellar since original purchase, these are in great condition. Light garnet with some amber at the edge, the 1965 Malescot is very mature. Vanilla, oak, truffles and farmyard with a little spice and acidity. A few unresolved tannins. It remains a bit chunky but is still alive.

This is a nice port.

Malvedos Vintage Port

Gentle golden sultana fruit on the palate, very mature flavour profile but with plenty of dried fruits and delicious complex spices. Quinta Do Cachao Vintage Port

Unlike the colheita ports from the same year, this wine has aged in the bottle for nearly 50 years (As opposed to a barrel).
