Graham's Port, 1975
Vintage Port
Bin soiled label
*** 93 Points Aggregated Score***
The 1975 Graham's vintage port is a wine from an historic year for Portugal with a port declaration that came shortly after the 1974 revolution. With a lively bright appearance and deep aromatic nose of candied fruit, damson jam and sweet raisins, this port is a crowd pleaser. Elegant, with a long lingering finish it is nearly perfect now and will only keep improving.
Serving Suggestions:
When mature this port will need to be decanted to remove sediment. Serve at room temperature on its own or with vintage mature blue cheeses such as stilton Cashel Blue, Roquefort, Gorgonzola and Saint Augur Blue. …

Rebello Valente Vintage Port, 1975
Vintage Port
Robertson Bros were the shippers behind this brand, which was once one of the most reputable, though, since a fine 1970, very little Vintage Port bears the name.
Drink it alone for dessert. It is like a delicious piece of fruitcake. Medium red, with a roasted, chocolate, earthy nose, medium-bodied, with plenty of tannins and roasted, fruity flavours on the palate.

Quevedo, 1974
Colheita Port
Last Few in Stock
This is a great 1974 Colhieta from this family-run winery. The colour is still very intense, and the aromas are already where you would expect a Colheita of this age expect to be. 1974 is now over 45 years old but this wine is still really nice and very affordable.
This has amazing layers of aromas, nuts, crème brûlée, caramel, dates and apricot. A beautiful port – that you will combine with any food. But please enjoy it on it’s own.

50 Year Old Madeira
50 Year Old Henriques & Henriques Tinta Negra (Comes in Original H&H gift box as illustrated)
The first ever 50 Year Old Tinta Negra is absolutely stunning! This is the 1st time Tinta Negra has ever been seen this way and with ONLY 2,700 (50cl) bottles produced for the entire world market, it looks a pretty amazing offering
2015 saw Tinta Negra promoted to the status of ‘recommended grape’ and thus is now allowed to be mentioned on labels. In addition, a new 50 Year-Old category has been implemented; this is designed to bridge the gap between 15/20 Year-Old Colheitas and much older single-year Madeiras, and offers drinkers the opportunity to buy some properly old cask-aged Madeiras at prices considerably below those of the older vintage bottlings. …

Chateau Montrose, 1970
St Estephe 2eme Cru Classe
*** 92 Points Robert Parker ***
Reviews: "This is one 1970 that appears to possess the necessary components to develop into something special. It remains youthfully hard and astringent, but there is no doubting the high levels of concentration and intensity. Moreover, the wine exhibits a classy, complex bouquet, offering up scents of cedar, black fruits, minerals, and leather. Full-bodied, powerful, and rich, with outstanding concentration, this wine requires another 7-10 years of cellaring - can you believe that? It is unquestionably a 40-50-year wine" PArker Wine Advocate 1996
"A knockout bottle when first tasted in March 2001, when it had a complex, black dusty nose and an ultra-dense, backward, masculine palate. …

Ramos Pinto Vintage Port

From the outstanding 1970 vintage, the Ramos Pinto is a beautiful port. Excellent colour with a little red. On the nose jammy strawberries, spice, a hint of pepper and liquorice. On the palate, so beautifully smooth and in great balance, red fruit some violets. A long long finish. This is a beautiful wine.
Reviews
"Mature in appearance with a wide rose rim; 60% opaque but full of fine sediment. Delicious redcurrants on the nose, mature and sweet. Rounded and sweet on the palate with lots of sweet fruit but lacking a little acidity so feeling a touch flabby. Chateau d'Yquem, 1969
Sauternes 1er Grand cru Classe
Sweet White Wine
Yquem is indisputedly the best wine in Sauternes and may well be the finest sweet wine in the world.
A year with a wet spring and cooler-than-average weather until July. Heavy rain fell in mid-September, followed by three weeks of dry weather and two small windows of opportunity around the 20th of October that were taken advantage of to pick most of the crop. The ensuing four weeks of rain ruined the remaining grapes. A small production for this discreet, medium-sweet vintage of Yquem.
The pleasure derived from tasting Yquem is difficult to describe. It offers a myriad of well-balanced, complex flavours that generate even more harmonies over time. …

"There is always a high level of star gazing when a bottle of old Yquem shows up. Even an ok bottle like this makes you feel a million bucks. Dark caramel in colour. Apricots on the nose, sweet glycerin. On the palate it is well evolved full of ripe fruit, botrytis and although it is low in vitality it still makes for a superb experience. Reviews:
Lovely dark caramel colour, with some truffle and tea notes, edges of olive and green fruits (fig). The maturity on the palate is obvious, again with fabulous sweetness and brown sugar richness, Muscovado and walnuts, but the hallmark of the fresh orange and lemon acidity plays against that and the coffee and walnut cake sweetness and richness. …
