30 Year Old Taylors Tawny port

Tawny Port (75cl) - In original Taylor's box

Only tiny quantities of this aged tawny port are produced each year, making the wines extremely rare and amongst the most revered in the world.
This Tawny port has been aged in oak casks for an average of 30 years. During their long maturation they become tawny in colour and concentrated in their aromas. This port has very intense and elegant flavours which combine to give a smooth, fine finish.
This 30-year-old tawny from Taylor's own vineyards shows incredible length, a deep, old gold colour with hints of dried fruit and honey offsetting the rich nutty aromas. Lush, silky richness with an elegant, slightly austere quality which is quite distinctive.

Baron de Sigognac, 1990

Armagnac
Includes Original Sigognac Wooden Box

The company behind this Armagnac owns one of the most important stocks of old vintages in the whole region. They are growers as well as distillers and specialise in sourcing and ageing old casks of Armagnac.

This Armagnac is made from a blend of Baco and Ugni Blanc, the predominant grapes used in the production of Armagnac. The distillation takes place in a column still to an alcohol strength of about 54%. The spirit is then aged in local black oak casks. The alcohol content then reduces naturally to about 40% after about forty years. Presented in a perfectly simple wooden box.

Barros Port

30 Year Old Tawny Port

The 30 year old Barros port is an absolute delight. It has a flavour of raisins, prunes, cherries a little cinnamon. As a port it is surprisingly light considering its age in that it doesn’t have a heaviness to it. The mouth feel is quite light, approachable and drinkable. The finish is very long - this is an excellent wine.

Croft Port, 1990

Late Bottled Vintage Port
Damaged Label | Was £75 | Now £45

This Croft late bottled vintage port from the highly regarged 1990 wine vintage shows a pungent, aromatic nose with a rich purple colour. Luscious, ripe, black cherry and plum fruit with notes of cedar and spice. The wine is wonderfully rich, fragrant and concentrated with layers of fruit. An elegant wine with good complexity, sweet black fruit with notes of cocoa and mocha. Lovely, intense finish full of flavour and delicate tannins.

Croft LBV was developed to satisfy the demand for a high quality ready to drink alternative to vintage port for everyday consumption. Unlike vintage port, which is bottled after only two years in wood and ages in bottle, LBV is bottled after four to six years and is ready to drink when bottled.

Dom Perignon, 1990

Dom Perignon Rose Champagne

1990 Dom Pérignon Rosé- Hedonist's Gazette, June 2010: The 1990 Dom Pérignon Rosé, tasted from before dinner, was breathtakingly beautiful, with superb definition, depth and purity to its rich, textured mousse. It provided yet another reminder of just how much Champagne excels in large formats. This was a fabulous bottle I came back to often throughout the evening. It never failed to make a lasting impression.

** 98 Points - In Asia **

Reviews "Medium lemon-straw colour. Intensely fragrant nose with aromas of jasmine, cinnamon buttered toast, stewed apples and preserved ginger. Concentrated honey-nut, warm apple tart and spice flavours fill the mouth giving ample flesh to the firm, fine structure. The bubbles are still remarkably frisky and, in harmony with the crisp backbone of acid, make for a relatively youthful, elegant and exquisitely balanced wine. Very long finish." Veuve Clicquot, 1990

Ponsardin Champagne

The 1990 Veuve Clicquot is... "a medium gold colour, no hints of orange - very fine bubbles that persisted for 1-2 hrs - beautiful old brioche nose with light to moderate oxidation, dried apples and pears, asian spices (Saigon cinnamon), and flinty minerality - full-bodied mouth with loads of very ripe apple/pear fruit, more oxidative flavors than in the nose - great acidity that provided a refreshing youthfulness to a mature champagne - longer finish than most red wines of the same age with a beautiful sweet aftertaste sans any hint of bitterness - I agree with earlier tasting notes that it combined both impressive power with delightful elegance".

Warre's Vintage Port, 1989

Quinta Da Cavadinha Vintage Port

Brick-red core, broad amber rim; fine, perfumed, nicely evolved floral, esteva (gum cistus) aromas, open but possibly with a bit more to give; soft, sweet, and fully mature, with beautifully balanced cherry fruit. For me, the best of the '79.

Chateau Cos d'Estournel, 1988

St Estephe, 2nd Growth Classification

A year which was marked by a great lack of water in summer and by harvesting carried out in perfect conditions.
1988 is a vintage typical of the Médoc. Built like a Romanesque cathedral with all that is necessary to seduce in conditions of austerity. A very generous, wild bouquet with hints of red fruits, roast, pear, bilberry, fur, liquorice. Full and concentrated in the mouth, it is stout and very munchy. An imposing finish. A wine which will benefit greatly as it ages.
