Cognac
Chairman's Exceedingly Old and Rare Champagne Cognac
This ultra rare cognac was imported by Eldridge Pope & Co., a traditional UK brewer based in Dorchester, Dorset, established in 1837. The brewery closed in July 2003.
The cognac is believed to be bottled by A. Hardy as Eldridge and Pope were sourcing their cognac from this historic producer.
With a history dating back to 1863, Cognac Hardy is well known for quality cognacs and traditional production methods. Passed down throughout the generations, this family house of cognac, which can be recognized by its rooster logo, was one of the very first to embrace the spoils of a worldwide distribution network. …

Cognac Des Tuileries, Non Vintage
Grande Champagne Reserve Cognac (75cl)
A good Cognac is subjected to a complex manufacturing process. It is never made from the eau-de-vie of a single cru, but from a `marriage' of eaux-de-vie that vary in age and cru - some as old as a hundred. To establish the age of a Cognac, only the number of years spent in oak casks or barrels are taken into account. As soon as an eau-de-vie is decanted into a glass recipient, it ceases to age. The longer it is left to age, the more a Cognac gains in complexity, fragrance, aromas and taste (spiced, pepper and cinnamon flavours).
Alcoholic Strength by volumes 35° Gay Lussac. Fully matured in wood before bottling. …

Cognac Prunier
Old Pale Grande Fine Champagne cognac, Family Reserve Brandy
Steeped in tradition and shippers since 1769, Cognac Prunier is a family run firm with cellars in the heart of the town of Cognac.
We estimate that this bottle of Prunier Old Pale Fine Champagne Cognac from France was bottled in the early 1970s.
The cognac comes from a large collection built up during the 1970s in Kent, England. For 50 years the owner displayed the collection in the family’s home bar, with later additions being gifted to the collector by friends and family.
Aromas of liquorice, coffee, dried fruits, orange peel and almonds fill the nose, complemented by notes of oak, leather, dried fruits and rancio throughout the palate. …

Cognac Bisquit Dubouche, Non Vintage
Champagne Napoleon Cognac
An old release of Bisquite Cognac with an average age of 20 years. Bisquit is produced in Jarnac, in the Petite Champagne region of Cognac. We estimate that this was bottled during the 1960s.
Legend has it that Napoleon took crates of Courvoisier Cognac into exile with him to the island of St Helena, and the crew coined the Cognac as "Napoleon's Cognac".
Tasting Notes
Elegant copper highlights, a lingering bouquet, and a powerful, round flavour make this a very distinguished cognac. The oaky characteristics and candied fruit flavours coat the palate after the first sip.
A wonderful cognac to enjoy as a digestif at the end of a meal. …
