Winemaking:
Grapes from various quality vineyards from Seixal. This Sercial 1988 is originated in grapes produced in the Seixal vineyards. It is the first wine of a series of bottling that pay tribute to Mr. Manuel Euge´nio as a way of enduring the long-term relationship between our families. In August 2017, 650 bottles have been filled, all individually numbered.

Madeira is made on the volcanic island of the same name situated in the Atlantic ocean some 400 miles off the North African coast. The sub-tropical island was discovered in 1419 and named for the word for wood or timber.
This sweet, amber-tinged Madeira, has keen acidity and a long and mellow finish, with a certain delicacy.

The 1984 D'Oliveiras Verdelho presents a deep amber colour with a golden hue. Beautiful clarity with a slight viscous quality, creating slow, persistent legs on the glass.

Verdelho

1983 D'Oliveiras Verdelho.
Madeira is a complex, interesting wine and is made in virtually every vintage. Due to the unique estufagem aging process Madeira is one of the longest-lived wines and also improves for days after opening, but will keep, once opened, for a month and more in a decanter.

Very pale amber, dried apricots, raisins, bananas, vanilla, fantastic layers and complexity. Fresh and high acidity, again nuanced feel, refreshing, lively, intense and still manages to be refreshing, long finish.
