Chateau Mouton Rothschild, 1960
Pauillac
The 1960 chateau Mouton Rothschild was one of the finest wines of the 1960 Bordeaux vintage. The 1960 Mouton label was designed by Jaques Vallon (a power-house of the Cubist Movement) and depicts movement of birds contrasting with the static geometry of vines. Château Mouton Rothschild's 1960 vintage is also something of an increasing rarity, being crafted before this great Bordeaux château was granted first growth status.

The palate is sweet but balanced with a lovely acidity. A fascinating multilayered wine, with the oxidization bringing out maple syrup flavours, coupled with leather and cigar box aromas wrapped around rich dried fruit. Complex, captivating and holding up beautifully." Decanter, Fine Wine Encounter 2009.
The 1960 has a light russet core with deep tawny rim. A lovely soft, mulberry infused nose with a touch of sloes and coca that could do with a tad more delineation. …

Sandeman Vintage Port, 1960
Vintage Port
The 1960 Sandeman is a deep purple black colour, with sweet black fruits on the nose. This is mirrored on the palate, which has rich, chocolate-edged fruit. Still plenty of tannin but with so much sweet substance and nicely balanced alcohol, it is still drinking well.

** 90 Points Wine Spectator **
This wine is now beginning to reach its full maturity and is likely to be ready for drinking. As it ages further, it will begin to develop gently into a more tawny style wine. Intense, structured with a nice soft finish." Almost perfect in its maturity. Still delicious.
"A powerhouse port that has been mellowed and opened up by time. Now in its 43rd year, its tannins have softened to reveal dark fruit flavors, herbaceousness and plenty of grip in the finish." Wine Spectator, 2003.

1959 Anjou Moulin, 1959
J. Touchais
A beautiful sweet white wine from a producer renowned for producing wines lasting over a century. This wine is still maturing and is nearly at its peak. The wines of Moulin Touchais begin reaching their peak after twenty years, and many of the great vintages will take much longer. Vintages such as the 1953, 1959, 1964, 1969 are still maturing. The 1945, 1947 and 1949 have become classics.
Tasting Notes: Brilliant golden colour with pale gold hue. The nose is again restrained – a characteristic that appears with most of these wines. Aroma of honey, lemon and toffee apple. The palate is remarkably youthful; luscious with flavours of lemon, spice and honeycombe flavours followed by sugared pear. …

Colheita Port
We are delighted to offer a UK exclusive on Burmester Colheita Ports.
Reviews:
"(2015) Lovely dark caramel colour, with some truffle and tea notes, edges of olive and green fruits (fig). The maturity on the palate is obvious, again with fabulous sweetness and brown sugar richness, Muscovado and walnuts, but the hallmark of the fresh orange and lemon acidity plays against that and the coffee and walnut cake sweetness and richness."
