Monbazillac is an AOC appellation for sweet wines made in an area in the wider region of Bergerac in Bordeaux,southwestern France. While not as famous nor as expensive as their western neighbors from Sauternes, Monbazillac wines are some of the most well-known sweet white wines produced in France, from botrytis-affected Muscadelle, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.

Monbazillac wines are often differentiated from the sweet wines of Bordeaux by their full-flavored profile when young (honey, apricot and sweet figs are used to describe them), and by a creamy, nutty character which they develop over time.

Nino Negri

This is the most representative and prestigious wine of the entire Valtellina region. It can be produced in all valleys (from Ardenno to Tirano), but only in hilly, well exposed vineyards having with loose soil and gravel. This wine is obtained from hand-made selection of the best bunches of Nebbiolo-Chiavennasca grapes, which are dried on wooden racks in a well ventilated and dry room, a "Fruttaio", for at least 110 days until late January. During this winter time the climate of the Valtellina region does all the work, drying the grapes. By late January the grapes have lost about 40% of their weight, the berries are dry and their concentrated juice has developed specific and very intense aromatic substances.

Baron de Lustrac is a small traditional éleveur specialising in fine old Armagnac vintages. Their extensive range is sourced from neighbouring estates in the Tenereze and Mas Armagnac regions and they keep an ageing and bottling chais near Magnan, in the Bas Armagnac region.

All Baron de Lustrac Armagnacs are aged in 420ltr oak barrels and sold as single vintages.
