One of the most important Cru Bourgeois of the Medoc. A juicy meaty wine, full of fruit with a pinch of spice & integrated toasted oak. A superb fruity & subtle wine. This has some age & is great value for a wine of this class.

2001 Chateau Poujeaux, Moulis en Medoc
Consistently one of the finest efforts from Moulis, the deep ruby/plum/garnet-colored 2001 Poujeaux offers notes of sweet red and black fruits intermixed with hints of figs, cedar, and flowers. Medium-bodied, with excellent concentration, sweet tannin, and well-integrated wood and acidity, it is surprisingly forward and approachable for a wine from this estate.
