2010 Messias Grand Cuvee Blanc de Blancs sparkling.
This outstanding sparkling blanc des blancs wine comes from 100% Chardonnay grapes selected from a small cultivation in in Quinta do Valdoeiro. The unique characteristics of the Chardonnay grapes produce a sparkling Blanc de Blancs wine that is pale yellow colour and medium intensity, fine bubbles and persistent bead. The aroma reveals delicate, citrus notes embedded on the creamy complexity of the "sur lies" recalling roasted almonds and bread. In the mouth there is a soft mousse and crisp acidity, forming an elegant and balanced wine.
2010 Quinta Do Valdoeiro
This is a very good single varietal wine from the Bairrada region. It has a very intense violet colour. Aroma of fruit, spices and chocolate, honed by toasted oak barrels. In the mouth it has a strong structure and silky tannins, with a powerful and fresh flavor. The finish is very long.
Triunvirato Number 3
A very unique fine wine that is drawn from a blend of the finest wines from Caves Messias three finest vineyards, the Messias Triumvirate presents an intense, almost opaque red colour. The edge of the glass show fine violet nuances. On the nose the wine captivates with a fresh and fragrant aroma of blackberries and flowers.
2011 Vinha de Santa Barbara
This excellent wine is made from a blend of Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca grapes. Tasting Notes: Deep colour, with perfectly integrated oak barrels, closed and austere fruit, pretty floral touches. Powerful but round and ripe tannins, without excesses, bitter cocoa, mineral notes on the long, juicy finish.
2011 Messias Vintage Port
"With a dark red colour, this Vintage Port has an intense personality, with ripe berries aromas, jam and hints of blackberries while young, turning to a complex bouquet and full of tertiary aromas with the ageing. It has always a powerful mouth feeling, with a remarkable structure, revealing a pleasantly and long aftertaste. Axel Probst World of Wine.
2004 Messias Colheita Port
It has a beautiful straw colour. Young, fruity fresh aromas that evolve over time, giving rise to a bouquet that brings out the aromas of dried fruits, aromas of roasting, wood and spices. Soft, harmony and complexity in the end. Great finish - excellent wine.
