Description

Wine critic Neal Martin writes of ths wine.. "First tasted in November 2001 when it blew away Lafite/Mouton 81 at a dinner! Ripe earthy/herbal nose. Great ripeness on the palate: very smooth and seductive. Well-integrated tannins - a lovely elegant mouth-feel. Medium-bodied, a touch of dryness but still a classy wine and impressive for the vintage. Tasted again in July 2005. Always one of my favourite wines from my birth year. A fragrant, leafy, herbaceous nose. Refined and delicate on the palate, but retaining good vigor and cohesion. Earthy, tobacco-infused black fruits on the finish." Wine Journal. Rating 89-90 (Outstanding)
