Description

The 2002 Chateau Gloria is generous and well-structured, these intense, complex wines are typical of the Saint Julien appellation. The result of traditional vinification, they have a strong, rich colour. On the palate, they are expressive, rounded and supple. They should be kept for a few years to express their full potential.

Château Gloria's plots were acquired by Henri Martin, mayor of Saint-Julien Beychevelle during the 20th century. This unavoidable figure of the Médoc (one of the founding members of the Commanderie du Bontemps) has raised this vintage to the level of excellent classified growths of the appellation. It is now his son-in-law Jean-Louis Triaud who manages the property, as well as the fourth classified growth Château Saint-Pierre. With the help of Jean Triaud and the director Rémi Di Costanzo, he now achieves a wonderful wine vintage after vintage.
