The 1983 Grand Puy Lacoste is from "another outstandingly good vintage," according to Decanter magazine. This fifth-growth estate is one of the oldest in the Médoc. Owner François-Xavier Borie crafts classy, velvety Paulliac wines that stand the test of time.
The aromas shows wild blackcurrant and brambles, Autumn leaves, fresh earth and clay, saddle leather, fruit tea. Very spiced fruit tea on the palate, tannins are present . Very good - Serve with red meat or game.

Mid shoulder/good label - Excellent provenance - before transfer to our cellars, the bottles have been stored at wine society since original purchase.
