Established in 1745, Cossart Gordon & Co. is the oldest company in the Madeira Wine Trade and the Cossart family has been among the most influential on the island for nearly two centuries. This is a rare single-harvest Madeira produced in 1975 from 100% Terrantez grapes and bottled in 2020 with 95g/L residual sugar having matured in seasoned American oak casks for 45 years. This is a wonderfully complex fortified wine, offering up notes of dried fruits, spices, polished woods, smoked nuts, resin and dried honey. A delicious bittersweet drink with a brilliantly spicy and saliva-inducing finish.

20 pts Richard Mayson - Copper brown colour, with a golden nuance and greenish reflections. On the nose it´s very complex and characteristic, reveals a concentrated bouquet with spices like black pepper, exotic woods, smoked notes of nutshell and resin and dry fruits infused in rum. On the palate leaves a soft and sweet first impression then explodes leaving a long and fresh aftertaste full of spices notes. It leaves our mouth with a spicy and salivating sensation, wishing for a next taste
