Description

Grignolino d’Asti DOC 1976 Bersano is a historic red wine from Piedmont, Italy, produced in the Asti area by the estate Bersano. It is made from Grignolino, a traditional Piedmontese grape known for its light color, delicate structure, and pronounced tannins despite its pale appearance, typically vinified in a classic, minimal-extraction style with aging in neutral vessels.

Tasting Notes:
Light brick-ruby color with orange reflections. Dried red berries, sour cherry, rose petals, and subtle herbal notes. Light earthy and spice hints.
Light body, fine but noticeable tannins, still-present acidity. Delicate, elegant, fading finish.

Serving & Food Pairing:
Serve at 14–16°C, with very light decanting if needed.

Pairs with cured meats, roasted poultry, light pasta dishes, mushroom risotto, and semi-aged cheeses.

Producer:
Bersano is a historic Piedmontese winery founded in Nizza Monferrato, known for traditional expressions of native grape varieties including Barbera, Nebbiolo, and Grignolino.
