The 1979 Les Forts de Latour is so easy to recognize as Latour or Les Forts with its magical cigarbox expression. This wine from a modest vintage has the Latour bouquet, just that slightly severe taste and body with impressions (still!) of dark fruit, very good backbone, long aftertaste, no frays due to age. To repeat, unbelievable; only Latour can do this.
