Per é Palummo refers to the the attachment of the grape stem looking like a pigeons foot. It is unique a little acidity on the nose supported by some fruit. It does have some longevity but the tannins have now mellowed and the fruit has faded into the farmyard tertiary characteristics familiar of older wines.
