Description

This lovely 1994 wine from Rioja is a Reserva having spent considerable time maturing in a barrel to impart delicious oaky vanilla flavours. On the nose there are aromas of dusty earth, mushrooms, old wood, ancient library, dried plums that is expected from a mature rioja of this age. On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (12.5%), resolved silky medium tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of savoury earth, mushroom, dried plums, prunes, tired red cherries, sweet spices, old leather. Medium+ finish.
Good quality. Classic Rioja !
