The 2019 Chryseia has received much critical acclaim as it is the first non-fortified Portuguese red to appear in Wine Spectator's annual Top 100 Wines. Chryseia has been one of the pioneers of the now widely-recognised resurgence of non-fortified DOURO DOC wines. A 2018 Late Bottled Vintage Port Wine from Quevedo.

The 2018 Late Bottled Vintage Port (LBV) is a traditionally styled (lightly filtered but not cold stabilized) blend of Touriga Franca (35%), Touriga Nacional (15%), Tinta Roriz (20%), Tinta Barroca (22%) and Tinto Cão filling out the blend. It was bottled in May 2023 with a long cork and 84 grams of residual sugar after aging for three years in large French vats. Expressive and fruit-forward in its its dry fashion, this adds some structure, but the tannins are never too hard. It is easy to drink now. The depth is average and the power is controlled, although there is some bite on the finish. …
