Dow's Quinta da Senhora Ribeira Review:
Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira is set in the remote, hot and dry Douro Superior and commands a magnificent north bank position. Senhora da Ribeira’s wines are some of the finest in the Douro and they complement those from Bomfim in the composition of Dow’s classic Vintage Ports. The quinta’s high proportion of old vines (45% are over 25 years old) is of critical importance. The old vines are very low-yielding, producing on average less than 1Kg of grapes each, giving intense and concentrated musts which are ideal for classic Vintage Port. Total production for 2013 is only 450 cases

2013 Quinta Do Noval Review:
Quinta do Noval has consistently followed a policy in recent years of declaring a Vintage Port, even of very small volume, if even a tiny proportion of the harvest has the quality and style of a Quinta do Noval Vintage Port. In the tasting room we found certain lots irresistibly delicious, and so decided to make this very small blend of Quinta do Noval Vintage Port. Total production was less than 1,200 cases, representing less than 3% of the production of Noval’s 143 hectare quinta. The style of the wine is elegant, pure, aromatic, perfectly harmonious and typical of the Quinta do Noval Vintage style. Because we are certain that this wine will have an honourable place in the stellar line-up of Vintage Ports from Quinta do Noval in recent years, we had no hesitation in declaring it as Quinta do Noval Vintage Port 2013

Quinta do Vesuvio Review:
The 2013 is an intense wine, with floral notes and blackcurrant, cassis and a powerful and attractive aroma resulting from the predominance of Touriga Nacional, combined with Alicante Bouschet. The presence of Touriga Franca and Sousão adds complexity and spices. This Vesuvio is full-bodied, with long, firm tannins and a powerful palate. It will age beautifully for decades.
