Decanted and tasted over several hours. Deep, concentrated nose and palate. Aromas & flavours of morello cherry, tar, tree bark and assorted wood spices. Lengthy cherry sauce, tar and slightly figgy finish. Perfectly ripe, extracted and fabulous balance. This is one 2000 that is not close to being "past it" as some of the professional press have forewarned. Because the tannins aren't resolved and because there is so much ripe fruit here, I see 3-5+ years of life here.
