Description

The 1993 Toro Albala PX is our best selling 1993 wine and makes a fabulous gift for a 30th Anniversary. This sweet wine from Toro Albala is made from the Pedro Ximenez grapes that have been dried on mats so that all the sweetness is concentrated in the wine. With a residual sugar content of nearly 400g/litre this is dessert heaven in a glass! The nose is complex with layers of dried fruits, dates, figs, plums, raisins, coffee, mango and chocolate. The palate is immense and the sugar is balanced by a structured acidity that keeps the sweetness in check. The experience concludes with a never-ending finish. 95/100 TC - Highly recommended!

This wine will keep for many decades, and once opened can be enjoyed for many months when kept in the fridge.

An authentic artisanal gem elaborated with Pedro Ximénez grapes, harvested in 1993 with temperatures that reached 45°C, following the traditional grape raising system. An exceptional white wine that has aged in oak butts and has been bottled in the most optimal moment. It has been awarded with the Grand Gold Mundus Vinis and 95 Robert Parker points.
