This wine is from a small commune in the Lombardy wine region which is located in north central Italy and currently has 15 DOC’s, 3 DOCG’s and 13 IGT designations. Lombardy wine region has a diverse terrain but is considered a "cool" continental climate. Many of the wine areas are located near some of Lombardy's major lakes including Franciacorta near Lake Iseo and the Garda Bresciano and Garda Mantovano regions near Lake Garda.
