Carvalhas 2018 Red Wine:
This succulent 2018 red wine from Quinta Das Carvalhas is made from the classic grape varieties (also used in their Port wines) and aged in new American oak for six months. Featuring delicious ripe, red fruit flavours nuanced with hints of vanilla and spice. Balanced and round, resulting in a very pleasant and long lasting finish. This wine will pair nicely with veal, lamb and oily fish.

Carvalhas 2022 White This stunning 2022 white wine from Quinta Das Carvalhas is a blend of the indigenous varieties of the Douro Valley, Viosinho, Rabigato and Côdega de Larinho. It has a very fine and delicate but very intense aromas with hints of fruit with hints of vanilla and toast, from ageing in wood. Although full-bodied on the palate, it provokes a feeling of lightness due to its freshness of flavours and lively acidity, ending with a very clean and refreshing aftertaste. Drink now or cellar up to 15 Years.

Quinta das Carvalhas is one of the most emblematic and spectacular properties in the Douro valley. Written references regarding this magnificent vineyard can be traced back to 1759. Enjoying a prominent position on the left bank of the Douro river, in Pinhão, the estate covers the entire hillside facing the Douro river and occupies part of the slopes of the right bank of the tributary Torto river. Carvalhas’ old vines, are a post-phylloxera plantation, which have reached the respectful age of a century old and represent one of the richest selection of ancient indigenous Douro varieties.
