To celebrate their 80th anniversary, Quinta da Devesa decided to bottle for the first time this extraordinary and rare wine, a wine which has been matured and concentrated over decades in their Douro cellars. This exclusive limited-edition wine comes from a very small number of casks that have been exclusively reserved for the family; unique treasures from Antónia and José Fortunato Júnior’s legacy, the members of the family who originally acquired Quinta da Devesa in 1941. Today Quinta da Devesa continues to be an independent family Port Wine producer and is honoured to share the experience of enjoying this special and unique wine with Port Wine aficionados all over the world.

We are delighted to exclusively bring you a piece of history. This Very Very Old Tawny has a golden auburn colour, with greenish tinges, revealing its age. On the nose it shows a striking bouquet of sumptuous aromas with notes of whiskey, caramel, orange peel and tobacco. It envelops the palate with a dense mouth volume, excellent acidity and citrus notes, good wood and spices. Very long finish with exceptional complexity and depth and a remarkable balance between sweetness and freshness. A wine so complex that it reveals itself layer after layer indefinitely.
