Warre Vintage Port, 1994
Vintage Port
Description: An outstanding port scoring 94 points (Rober Parker) "One of the finest Warres I have ever tasted, this opaque purple-colored wine is made in a drier style (a la Dow), yet it is expressive, extremely full-bodied, with superb richness, purity, and well-integrated alcohol and tannin. It possesses a great mid-palate as well as impressive length. Tasters should take note of the wealth of peppery, licorice-scented and flavored raspberry and blackcurrant fruit. Look for it to be ready to drink in 10-12 years, and keep for 30+. This is a profound example of Warre vintage port." Parker Wine Advocate 1996

Warre Vintage Port, 1985
Vintage Port
Description: From the outstanding 1985 Vintage Reviews: "Lovely orange skins nose, together with nuts and figs. On the palate, it has finesse, elegance and such a sweet kickback. Massively enchanting and, now it is over the magic 20 years, perfection to drink." Serena Sutcliffe , Cuisine & Wine Asia 2008 Very very dark. Sweet, spicy, liquorice nose. Very broad start to the palate and then dried fruits on the finish. Lots of firm tannins still. Still relatively embryonic. Heat on the finish. Lovely spice on the finish. Not the most stereotypically feminine Warre style of wine. Powerful finish. Almost brawny with some wild fruit and flower flavours on the nose. Still chewy. Jancis Robinson , Jancisrobinson.com 2006 This is a perfect example of the incredibly well-balanced and concentrated 1985 Vintage. This wine is packed with fruit on the nose and palate with a tight firm structure." The Wine Spectator 1988 Excellent colour. A lot of quality and depth here, marvellous fruit, real voluptuous depth, will be silky in time. Full body, quite some tannins but these are very ripe. A very stylish, elegant wine with excellent fruit. Clive Coates , The Vine WARRE has been making exceptionally fine Ports of late and their 1985 is the sweetest and richest of their recent Vintages. Extremely concentrated, rich, even luscious, this full bodied, intense, opulent wine has layers of fruit, a full blown bouquet and impeccable balance”. Robert Parker , The Wine Advocate 1987 Parker rating 90/100 (Outstanding)
