Quevedo 10 Year Old Port *** 90 Points- Robert Parker ***
Beautiful amber-tawny colour, indicative of its aging process. The nose is filled with aromas of dried fruit, cinnamon and walnuts. On the palate the nutty flavours predominate, along with a touch of coffee and chocolate.The wine has a balanced sweetness with a refreshing acidity that makes it elegant and not cloying. Long, smooth finish with lingering notes of caramel and dried fruits.
Burmester 10 Year Old Tawny Port
Intense golden colour, with an amber rim. Complex on the nose, with prevailing aromas of dried fruit, almond and hazelnut combined with notes of honey and vanilla. A refined palate, with great smoothness, elegance and intensity. A round, full-bodied wine that develops into a rich and intensely fresh finish with a touch of spiciness.
Devesa 10 Year Old Tawny Port
Sweet nutty notes of marzipan blended with toasty blanched almonds and a hint of spirit. Soft, smooth and well rounded with crème caramel and flavors of Frangelico. Creamy on the opening, shows its power and its structure, evolving nicely and finishing with grip and tension. Palmer 10 Year Tawny Port
The Palmer 10 Year tawny has a clear, medium tawny colour feathering to a pale orange rim. Dried orange peel, light brown sugar, maraschino cherry, and baking yeast aromas, anise, soft baking spice, and crushed earthy rock flavours. Medium body, bright acidity, and a softly sweet burnt sugar and cherry liquor finish with a hint of citrus and spice. Good long finish starting with a little heat before the flavours take over.
