Vintage Wine & Port is a family-owned UK wine merchant specialising in vintage wine and vintage Port gifts for birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions.

We hold more than 3,000 wines and Ports in stock, with over 35,000 bottles stored in our own cellars in Fordingbridge, Hampshire. Unlike many online wine merchants, every bottle listed on our website is physically held in our UK cellars, inspected before dispatch and available for immediate delivery.

As a UK-based merchant we dispatch directly from our Hampshire cellars, delivering throughout the UK and exporting to more than 40 countries worldwide.

Provenance

We take great care in sourcing wines with good provenance. Our bottles are selected from trusted suppliers and well-stored collections, with authenticity and condition always in mind.

Older wines naturally carry more variation than current-release wines, which is why provenance matters so much. We focus on buying bottles with the best possible history and presentation so that our customers can purchase with confidence.

Storage in Our UK Cellars

All wines offered on our website are stored in our own UK cellars and carefully maintained in appropriate conditions until dispatch. Because we control our own stock we are able to inspect every bottle individually rather than relying on third-party availability.

This means customers are buying from a UK merchant shipping directly from UK stock, rather than from a broker sourcing bottles only after an order has been placed.

Bottle Inspection

Because our wines are stored in our own cellars we are able to inspect each bottle before dispatch and provide accurate photographs and condition reports, ensuring customers know exactly what they are buying.

6-Month Bottle Replacement Guarantee

We take great care in sourcing wines with good provenance and storing them correctly in our own UK cellars. Every bottle is inspected before dispatch so customers know exactly what they are receiving.

If a bottle is found to be corked or faulty within six months of delivery we will replace it or offer a credit so that you can purchase with confidence.

With older wines the cork may naturally become fragile over time. Soft or crumbling corks during opening are a normal characteristic of mature bottles and are therefore not covered by the guarantee.

Our guarantee assumes the wine has been stored in appropriate conditions after delivery. Wines exposed to excessive heat, light or poor storage conditions may not be eligible for replacement.

When opening older bottles we recommend using a two-prong cork puller (Ah-So) to reduce the risk of cork breakage.
