Description

Barbaresco is one of the great wines of Italy's northwestern Piedmont region.

The 1952 Barbaresco is predominantly made from the nebbiolo grape which instills longevity into the wine. This wine a pale garnet core, some fruit remains on the nose alongside game, leather and forest floor notes. Wine develops fully after half an hour to reveal a hint of fruit alongside oak and dusty tannins. Whilst undoubtedly at the end of its drinking window, this wine does offer a pleasant surprise and would make an excellent gift for any 60th Anniversary.
