Description

Barbaresco DOCG 1991 Giacosa Donata Vigneto Suri Secondine is a mature red wine from Piedmont, Italy, produced from Nebbiolo grapes in the renowned Barbaresco area of the Langhe region. This single-vineyard bottling represents a traditional expression of Barbaresco, crafted for long aging and gradual bottle evolution over decades.

Tasting Notes:
Brick-garnet color with orange reflections. Aromas of dried rose petals, red cherry, leather, tobacco, tar, licorice, and forest floor, with elegant balsamic, earthy, and spice nuances.
Refined and mature palate with softened tannins, balanced acidity, and layered tertiary complexity. Long, persistent finish with notes of dried herbs, smoke, and aged spice.

Serving & Food Pairing:
Serve at 16–18°C, with gentle decanting only if necessary.

Pairs well with braised meats, game, truffle dishes, porcini mushrooms, risotto, tajarin pasta, and aged cheeses.

Producer:
Giacosa Donata is associated with traditional Piedmontese winemaking, producing classic long-aged expressions of Nebbiolo from selected vineyards in the Barbaresco area, with a focus on elegance, structure, and terroir character.
