The 1983 Château Caronne Saint-Gemme is a mature Haut-Médoc that beautifully reflects the classic character of traditional Left Bank Bordeaux. Located near Saint-Laurent-Médoc, the estate has long been recognised for producing structured, Cabernet-led wines capable of developing complexity and elegance with age. After more than four decades in bottle, this vintage offers a fascinating opportunity to experience mature Médoc at its most authentic.

Château Caronne Saint-Gemme has a history dating back several centuries and remains one of the Médoc's most respected Cru Bourgeois properties. The estate's gravel-rich soils provide ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon, allowing the wines to develop the structure, balance and ageing potential that have become hallmarks of the property. Throughout its history, the château has maintained a reputation for producing classically styled Bordeaux that offer excellent value and consistency.

The bouquet is beautifully evolved, revealing aromas of dried blackcurrants, red berries and plum, layered with notes of cedarwood, tobacco leaf and cigar box.
