Description
A classic Haut-Médoc estate, Château Tourteran has long produced traditional left-bank clarets. The 1970 vintage was one of Bordeaux’s most celebrated of the 20th century, yielding structured wines with excellent ageing potential.
Brick-garnet with an amber rim. The nose reveals dried blackcurrant, cedar, leather, and autumn leaf. The palate is soft and elegant, with mellow tannins, earthy tobacco, and a savoury finish. A wine of finesse more than power at this stage.
