Feuerheerd is a historic Port house with a rich legacy in the production of high-quality Ports. Founded in 1815 by Dietrich Matthias Feuerheerd, a German merchant, the house has been known for producing well-crafted Ports that are often praised for their balance, elegance, and approachable style.

History and Background:
Founding: Feuerheerd was established in 1815 in Porto, Portugal. Dietrich Matthias Feuerheerd was instrumental in setting up the business, which became recognized for its Ports, particularly in the British market.

Ownership: Over the years, the company changed hands several times. Most recently, it was acquired by Barão de Vilar, a family-owned company that continues to uphold the tradition of producing fine Ports under the Feuerheerd name.

Reputation: Feuerheerd is often associated with producing Ports that are both accessible and of high quality. They have a reputation for crafting wines that are consistent in style, with a focus on rich fruit flavors and smooth textures.
