An Exceptionally Rare and Profound Expression of Quinta dos Malvedos

Graham’s has announced the release of The Stone Terraces 2024 Vintage Port, one of the estate’s rarest and most sought-after wines. Produced only in exceptional years and in extremely limited quantities, the 2024 release represents just the sixth standalone declaration of The Stone Terraces. Crafted from tiny plots of historic stone-walled vineyards at Quinta dos Malvedos, this remarkable wine combines the opulence and richness synonymous with Graham’s alongside extraordinary purity, refinement, and precision.

Inky deep indigo-blue black in colour, the nose is intensely expressive and exotic, revealing layers of mango, passion fruit, black cherry, and dark berry fruit. Delicate aromas of orange blossom, mint, and eucalyptus add lift and aromatic complexity, while subtle notes of black tea, mocha, and spice emerge with time in the glass. The wine’s aromatic intensity and layered perfume are unmistakable hallmarks of The Stone Terraces vineyard plots.

The palate is sumptuous, mouth-filling, and beautifully textured, with concentrated brambly fruit supported by exceptionally fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity. Despite its richness and depth, the wine maintains remarkable freshness and elegance, with a broad, all-encompassing structure that carries through to a long, pure, and persistent finish. Combining immense concentration with balance and refinement, the 2024 Stone Terraces is built for decades of ageing while already displaying extraordinary harmony in youth.

The historic stone-walled terraces of Quinta dos Malvedos play a crucial role in shaping the wine’s distinctive personality. Their schist walls retain daytime warmth and release it slowly overnight, promoting gradual and even ripening. The sheltered east- and west-facing vineyard exposures contribute additional freshness, complexity, and aromatic precision. Traditional field blends, old vines, co-fermentation, and careful foot treading in granite lagares further enhance the wine’s depth and individuality.

This wine is offered En Primeur, meaning you are purchasing it early, before it is released for general sale. By securing your allocation now, you guarantee access to the vintage, with delivery at a later date once the wine has been bottled and shipped to the UK.
The price shown is In Bond, which means it excludes UK alcohol duty and VAT. These taxes will become payable when the wine is withdrawn from bond, or if it is delivered for home consumption.
Please note that we do not offer in-bond storage. You will need to have an approved bonded storage facility in place, and the wine will be transferred to your nominated account upon arrival (transfer fees apply).
