Description

Appearance:
Golden to deep amber hue, especially with age.

Aroma:
Strong botrytis influence — expect honey, citrus marmalade, dried apricot, orange peel, and a touch of caramel or toffee as tertiary notes evolve.

Palate:
Lusciously sweet but balanced by good acidity. Flavours often include honeyed stone fruit (apricot/peach), citrus marmalade, fig and a hint of spice, with a viscous, rich texture.

Finish:
Long, with lingering sweetness that stays fresh rather than cloying thanks to Riesling’s natural acidity.
