Description
The Renasans Pale Dry Sherry from South Africa is an intriguing interpretation of the classic Andalusian fortified style, crafted by KWV using Chenin Blanc from the warm Boberg region. Though inspired by traditional sherry production, this wine proudly expresses its Cape heritage, with the natural vibrancy and fruit depth of Chenin Blanc meeting the nutty, savoury character born from flor ageing. Its maturation in a solera system lends both consistency and maturity, layering youthful freshness over a foundation of complexity and time.
In the glass, it shines a pale amber-gold, hinting at the delicate oxidative influence that defines its style. The nose is lifted yet subtle, opening with almond skin, lemon peel, and sea-spray aromas, followed by dried apple, chamomile, and a faint saline edge.
